Principles of Advanced and Distributed Simulation In conjunction with Federated Computing Research Conference FCRC 2007 June 12-15, 2007, San Diego, California, USA Computer simulation is being acknowledged as the ``third leg'' of scientific discovery and analysis, along with theory and experimentation. In addition to traditional areas such as defense and industry, emerging needs in areas such as emergency planning and homeland security are raising new challenges in fast, interoperable computer simulations. The PADS workshop is soliciting papers in any and all of these areas. In addition to the traditional focus on parallel and distributed simulation methods and applications, the conference will include all aspects of simulation technology, including the following:
