Description: Safety advice for CD ROM drives that develop small cracks.
In August 2001 RM issued a Product Safety Notice about an issue that affects the CD ROM drive fitted to computers produced between June 1999 and July 2001. It affects computers manufactured by a number of companies, not just RM. This website explains the issue, explains what RM have done to help our users, explains what action you should take if you are unsure that your RM computer is affected or already updated, and answers your questions.
