Description: The GNUton project is a re-implementation of the (defunct) Apple Newton platform. It consists of the virtual machine, storage architecture and templates for GUI and general OS features. It aims to support execution of existing pure NewtonScript packages.
defying graffiti: the making of GNUton the motivations for this work are varied. initially, the goal was to have an emulator as part of a free development environment. even after Newton, Inc released the toolset, an emulator would be useful as a low-cost means of development, as a testing environment, to enable lower-level debugging, etc.
