Description: The history of the Enterprise cotton mill in Augusta, Georgia, originally constructed as a flour mill in 1875 and converted into a textile manufacturing plant in the late 1880's by James P. Verdery. Closed in 1983, the mill was renovated and converted into an office, retail, and residential center in 1997.
