Financial Transaction Taxes are starting to hit our brokerage accounts. I just received notification from TradeStation that there will be a .2% tax on transactions of French ADRs. This was passed in France a few months ago, but just starting to be implemented on our shores. Also, on September 14th of this year Rep. Keith Ellison introduced House Resolution 6411 to implement a similar tax on all stocks, bonds, futures, options, and derivatives of all kinds transacted in the USA. So far GovTrack.US gives it a 2% chance of seeing the light of day. Click
