A phone scam is currently occurring whereby customers receive phone calls stating that their have been deactivated. An automated message tells customers that their debit cards have been locked, deactivated, or temporarily suspended. The automated message may also ask customers to press 1 to unlock the cards (or a similar request). The phone calls have specifically stated the customer’s Bank of Maple Plain or Maple Plain Bank debit card has been suspended however they can be generic, and may not specifically state that the customer’s Bank of Maple Plain debit card has been suspended, or they may state an incorrect Bank name.
