Produced Water Management Information System (PWMIS) Argonne National Laboratory developed the Produced Water Management Information System (PWMIS) website and opened it for public use in June 2007. Later that year, the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), which funded development of PWMIS, directed Argonne to transfer hosting of PWMIS to NETL’s own website. As of September 1, 2008, PWMIS is available only on the NETL website at
