Twin Mansion Miniatures

Combining family heritage and local history with her passion for Fine Miniatures, Artisan Wendy Bedell has created an extraordinary Heirloom as well as a creative and elegant display to showcase her Fine Miniature collection. The exterior of the mansion, near completion, has taken more than a year to finish. Rich in detail and impressive to behold, each door and window was individually handcrafted. With strong attention to detail and scale, each post and bracket were turned by the artist herself. Wendy has also been asked to embellish collector's "kit" houses, with architectural detailing and painting techniques. Thus, making them totally unique and truly a work of art, worthy to be passed from generation to generation. Wendy's talent has also led her to repair and gently restore fine and estate miniatures for collector's as herself. From cabinetry, to furnishings, to adding detailing to components such as French doors or windows, the artist looks forward to each new challenge. Each project presents it's own set of difficulties and great rewards. Specializing in the Second Empire, Itallianate, and Queen Anne styles, the highly detailed furnishings and architectural elements are made to duplicate the real thing. Wendy has designed and built beautiful pocket doors for the interior (complete with leaded panes), as well as window trims, brackets, fish-scaling and extra trims for the exterior.
