Stubbs Rich - Architects in Bath With a frontage 6 metres above the Brighton Road there was no direct access to the site – surely not ideal for a motor retailer. But by turning the building to face the adjacent elevated A23 dual carriageway, this was the perfect place for a bold, iconic showroom, with a high-level display facing the passers-by. And at 70mph, it is not possible to inspect the cars, so the building has to communicate VW’s strong brand identity.
