Established in 1981, Landslide Records is dedicated to recording and distributing an eclectic mix of distinctive Southern oriented music. Beginning with records by Col. Bruce Hampton’s jazz-rock band, The Late Bronze Age, the Atlanta-based label moved on to release well-received jazz from Dan Wall, David Earle Johnson, Paul McCandless, and Curlew, followed by debut albums from Widespread Panic, The Derek Trucks Band, The Bluesbusters, and Webb Wilder & The Beatnecks. Through the 80’s, 90’s and to date, it has built a catalog of critically acclaimed Blues, Rockabilly, and Americana artists. Highly regarded blues guitarists Tinsley Ellis and Sean Costello, Carolina Beach favorites Jim Quick & Coastline, and the notable Soul/Blues outfit Scrapomatic, featuring Mike Mattison, are among the many acts currently on the label’s roster.
