Ste Rose Auction Mart

The Ste Rose Auction Mart (SRAM) has been in business since 1978 and owned and built by Don Masson. Since that year there has been many trying years, learning years, and a lot a great years, however, as we progress into the 21 century, marketing cattle takes a lot of experience, dedication, and knowledge of the electronic age. After 30 years of ownership, Don has retired and has sold the auction market to his son Myles. Myles has been working with his father in the actual building of SRAM, than started doing odd jobs, like helping sort cattle, load trucks, sale clerking ,  ring work, clean pens with skid steers, and feed and water cattle. In the summer of 1983 Myles pursued other job interest, and following a few brief jobs in western Canada, and northern Manitoba, Myles came back to SRAM as a full time employee back in 1985. And in the summer of 1986, Myles attended the World College of Auctioneering in Masson City, Iowa. So from 1986 to 2008 Myles did a lot of auctioneering, field representation work, sorting, accounting, and basically worked up to a full time manager. In the summer of 2008 Myles acquired the SRAM from Don, and has continually had excellent relations with all cattle buyers that have done business in the past and now into the future, and has gained new and larger customers year after year. Today, the SRAM does over 40 million in cattle sales a year, with over 1200 customers, and is slowly growing, even in these difficult times. Myles has the mind set and the understanding of what the customers are looking for, when it comes to how their product should be marketed in the best and most efficient way possible.
