Owens Maple Tree Farms Gelbvieh Owens Maple Tree Farms Gelbvieh OWENS MAPLE TREE FARMS is located in the southeast corner of Kansas. We have a small herd of hand picked females and bulls with bloodlines to Polled Summit, Electric Black, Polled Imprint, Mr. Sherman Tank and more. We do some AI'ing to Top Sires then clean up with our Sherman Tank and Polled Imprint bloodline sires. We have polled, horned, reds and blacks. Our cattle are our 'pets' and we treat them like family. We like the GELBVIEH breed for it's docile temperment, fantastic mothering ability, abundance of milk and unbeatable breeding tendencies. Due to the modest size of our herd, our cows are very gentle and pass that on to their offspring. We spend alot of time just 'hanging out' around the cows and calves. Please take time to look over the animals OMTF has for sale to meet your replacement demands. Also, look for us at the Kansas State Fair, Hutchinson in September and the Interstate Fair & Rodeo at Coffeyville, Ks in August. The first Sunday in November we manage the GELBVIEH FALL FESTIVAL SALE which is a consignment sale of several GELBVIEH breeders. Please contact us for a catalog of this sale.
