Many writers - both unpublished and published - are incredulous of the amount of time and effort I put in to marketing and self-promotion. Often such marketing is to the detriment of my writing. Self-promotion has never come easy to me. Indeed, I have been ridiculed by several former colleagues for the promotion I have done in the past. It was nothing compared to what I do now.
