Melted Glass and Stone Sculptures by Alena Matejkova discovered basalt mines in Northern Bohemia, where she enrolled in the High School of Applied Arts in Kamenicky Senov. There, with fifteen-year-old boys, she learned how to blow glass. That same year, she began combining glass with stone, which led to her installation in a basalt mine.
