Arjon Hollanders - Arjon Hollanders Arjon Hollanders - Arjon Hollanders Arjon Hollanders born on  31-8-1961 Amsterdam People in their traditions and natural cultures are the inspiration source for my paintings. I try to paint their passion, purity and meekness. From my background at the fashion academy , where I majored in fashion illustrations, comes my love for colours and fabric. You will see this come back in my paintings. Geisha’s, Monks, New Orleans, Africa and Venice are some examples what inspire me at this moment. Last couple of years I have been working as a freelance fashion illustrator and stylist, this gives me the opportunity to created more free time for painting. I believe that painting is a constant growing process. My work is figurative and in my studio I work with acrylic- and oil paint. Out of difference images I compose the vulnerability of the people and let that express on to my paintings
