Description: Portraits in color with some black and white. Digital and analog.
This collection is an ongoing project of observations made for myself. It is not an intent to record a likeness as traditional portraiture would dictate. Rather, the people or places herein are vehicles for a moment of dissocation from the immediate - a vehicle that then transposes that moment across to the viewer. In a way, these images are inarguably a likeness - photography is mimetic - but the images are also captured moments of a disappearance, a leave taking; they are a retreat to, and perhaps of, the personal interior.
