Alyce Mott (Librettist/Stage Director), a New York City-based produced playwright and freelance director, made her NYC directing debut at Lincoln Center with The Little Orchestra Society's 1985 Annual production of Gian Carol Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors which she has now directed more than 15 times. Her playwriting debut was with a brand new libretto for the Orchestra's 1995 production of 20th century American composer, Victor Herbert's Babes in Toyland. To date, she has complete seven additional new Herbert librettos including The Red Mill, The Fortune Teller, Cyrano de Bergerac, Mlle Modiste, Eileen, Sweethearts, and Naughty Marietta. She has also crafted a new original full scale libretto Herbert's The Serenade. Maestro Dino Anagnost and Ms. Mott are the founders of the Victor Herbert Renaissance Project in New York City.
