Concept Players: South Wales' Premier Drama Group This spring, the award winning Concept Players will be bringing one of the most inventive and funny musicals to a theatre near you. The Mystery Of Edwin Drood is a rarely performed musical which is based on the unfinished book by Charles Dickens. Set as a play within a play, this musical introduces us to the Theatre Royale Music Hall and their troupe of actors who are to perform this unfinished masterpiece. Without giving too much away, the plot thickens in a true Dickensian way up to the point that Edwin Drood mysteriously disappears. But who is responsible? Well, this musical allows you, the audience, to decide! This enjoyable romp has its tongue firmly in its cheek as the stage comes to life in the manner of the British music hall tradition - think The Good Old Days and you are not far off! With catchy songs and wonderful performances, you will go away with a smile upon your face.
