Urban Gypsy, Houston’s very own tribal dance inspiration, has been dancing, teaching, and nurturing the tribal dance scene in Houston and around Texas since 2003. The troupe includes eight talented and dedicated dancers. Since their travels to Egypt in 2006 to teach at Ahlan Wa Sahlan, Urban Gypsy has been dedicated to bringing the dance back to it’s roots, and is spreading the folkloric love to the US tribal dance scene with their unique brand of Ghawazee-inspired ITS.
