Box 1467, Pawtucket RI 02860 | Annual Members' Juried Exhibition - Holly Gaboriault, Juror The hottest of the warm colors, RED brings forward many emotional sayings and meanings: you express your anger when "Seeing RED;" your delivery of "RED roses" will undoubtedly express your passion for your love; you can proceed with caution by "raising a RED flag; welcome those of distinction by "rolling out the RED carpet;" and sadly can show signs of aggression and hatred when "blood RED". Surveys show that we are most attracted to the color RED, the fiery color sitting beside a passive orange at the end of a visible light spectrum. Red can be ruby, burgundy, scarlet and crimson. To the painter, the visual definition of red expands into vermillion, rose madder and alizarin crimson to name a few. What does RED mean to you? Please come and "Paint the town (of Pawtucket) RED" and join us at the opening of RED a juried exhibition sponsored by The Pawtucket Arts Collaborative.
