Description: Information about Chicago area theatre organs and organists, past and present.
A visitation takes place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by a service at 3 p.m. at the Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. Jim Shaffer at the Arcada Theatre Pipe Organ in St. Charles. IL. an organ which Jim maintained and played on a regular basis until his passing. Jim was active with theatre organs for many years and was a past president of CATOE and until recently served on the CATOE board as chapter treasurer. He will be seriously missed by the theatre organ community. Memorial donations in Jim's name can be sent to CATOE, 706 288th Avenue, Burlington, WI. 53105.
