Description: A definition of the form.
The Terzanelle (pronounced tur-zuh-nell) is a combination of the French forms Terza Rima and Villainelle, where the second line of a stanza is repeated as the third line of the following stanza. It's characteristics include repeating triplets rather than quattrains in the body, with a concluding quattrain. The Terzanelle has two alternate forms of endings, so make sure to look at them closely to see which one might be best for you.
