Description: Tracy shares four of her doilies.
I recently taught myself to tat. It is tedious work but as you can see below it makes some interesting doilies. Tatting can be done several different ways; by hand, shuttle or a tatting needle - a blunt ended needle about four inches long, otherwise known as a doll maker's needle. The needles come in three different sizes; #3-0, #5-0 and #7 fine.
