We study the texts, artefacts, images and ideas of ancient Greece, Rome and the Mediterranean. We study their transmission, reinterpretation and persistent presence across time, places and cultures. They are rich to think with, to create with and to argue about. They provide a critical distance from which to analyse not only the ancient world but also the intersecting traditions that link it with the contemporary world.
