222nd CAB, S-5 Civil Affairs-Vietnam This album contains photos of the men of the 222nd Combat Aviation Battalion. It also contains photos of Joe Atkins and Ken Johnson, two men who helped pioneer a Civil Affairs program, which was part of Nixons Vietnamization program. Our goal was to improve relations between the US Military machine and the citizens of South Vietnam. It is sad that relations between the two had deteriorated so badly that such a program even had to be created.
